IF- Tales and Legends

Finding my style.
My only experience with illustration has been my few attempts at Illustration Friday since last August. I have not yet developed my own style or technique. I feel strongly influenced by all my favorite artists blogging out there. Thanks again for the inspiration. I hope that my work does not resemble anyone else's too much. Soon I'll start finding my way.

Lovely work. Red riding hood looks great and I really like the detailing of the forest background.

I love it! You are definitely finding your groove, Patti. And I like the two together. The simplicity of little Red gives her innocence while the lines in the trees give it a menacing feel, even without the wolf. You should see if features could write a story around it about children's tales and get it in print. I'm soooooo jealous ;)

I like the simplicity of the character contrasting the copmlex/busy washes of the background trees in your finished piece. Thanks for posting your sketches too, it's refreshing to see something different, and to learn how someone else works.
